Chateau Madeleine residents celebrate Mardi Gras in style

Posted: March 10th, 2025

Chateau Madeleine Assisted Living and Transitional Memory Care residents kicked off Mardi Gras with a grand parade through Brevard Medical City in Suntree on Fat Tuesday, March 4.

It was its sixth year hosting the festivities for residents and their families, which was open to the public as well.

“The residents have so much fun every year that the parade just keeps growing,”  said Eric Hardoon, the executive director and administrator of Chateau Madeleine. “Our first year we had just one decorated bus.”

This year the parade featured live music by Uncle Nick flanked by themed inflatables, wags and woofs by Space Coast Therapy Dogs, more than a dozen classic cars on parade, party emcee and costumed Eric Hardoon, and of course, beads.

The free public event was held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 205 Hardoon Lane, in the Suntree/Melbourne area.
