Position: Memory Care Coordinator
Originally from British Columbia Canada where I graduated from the University of Fraser Valley with a (BSW) degree in social work and advance studies in gerontology at Simon Fraser University. I moved to Seattle Washington in 2000 where I pursued my love for working with elders and developing creative art programs for senior living communities in Seattle. As a volunteer at Elderwise an adult daycare program for seniors living with dementia, I created a mandala coloring book to raise funds for the program. During the last 10 years it has been a pleasure developing programs for memory care residents and finding new innovative ways to engage with our elder community. Creating moments of joy is always the goal for our residents, families and friends. I enjoy sharing my training practice from the sport of fencing with our residents by using yoga and stretching exercises in our daily wellness programs. I have enjoyed fencing competitively for over 30 years and I look forward to many more.
